Saying Goodbye...

Yesterday, we said goodbye to Jaime for
4 whole months.
She has the amazing opportunity to go to Europe,
and have many wonderful adventures.
Although I will miss her terribly, I know this experience is one that she can't pass up. She will be spending the next 4 months studying the Bible in London, Spain, Ireland, and maybe Paris!
But mostly Spain on an island!
As her last request before she left... she wanted to have something that she wouldn't be able have during her time in Spain... of course she meant IN-N-OUT!!! :)

We met up with Jaime's friend Amy (who is going to Spain as well) and her family who is traveling with them. We all ate at IN-N-OUT together then said goodbye and went our separate ways...
I was very sad
After we left Jaime, we were already near Laguna Beach so we stopped to watch the waves for a while. It was so nice and cool down there, which was a nice break from the hot dry heat of the desert! :)

Pastor Chuck Smith

Last Monday my family went to visit my older brother at the camp he works at. My dad was the guest speaker that night for the campers, and when we got there we found out that my dad would not be the only speaker. Pastor Chuck Smith was going to give a small message before my dad went on. I have never heard Chuck speak before and I was ecstatic to hear the news!! For all the Calvary Chapel people out there you can totally understand my excitement!! :) But if you don't know who Chuck Smith is let me enlighten you, he is the founder of Calvary Chapel and the Jesus Movement in the 70's. God has used this man to lead millions of people to the Lord and it was an honor to hear him speak.
Although the excitement doesn't end there... after my dad spoke, Pastor Chuck came up to my dad and wanted to meet him, and encourage our ministry.
So I got to meet Pastor Chuck Smith!! :)

Memories from the past, gives hope for the future...

This past Friday I had the opportunity to have dinner with my best friends from elementary school. It was exciting to see everyone and get reconnected.
4th Grade (9 years ago)
Present Day (High School Grads)
4th Grade field trip
Time passes by so quickly, its weird to think that those times of being a kid are gone, but the excitement of the unknown is thrilling! God has really blessed me with our friendship!
I am so thankful that the Lord has kept us friends through these years!
(Even if it was through Facebook)
It amazes that although we have gone in different directions and have busy life's of our own that God can bring us back together just like that!
We hope to have another reunion in 10 years :)

3 year "Gotcha Day"

Today, we are celebrating Jaclyn's 3 year "Gotcha Day" which means that we have now had her for 3 whole years! It's amazing how time flies!! This picture was sent to my family before we met Jaclyn, and I remember looking at this photo just wondering what this little girl was like. Her life was a mystery to us, and we were desperate to meet her and give her our love!

Meeting her for the first time

As you can very well see, she is a beautiful young girl. She has a spicy personality, and her sweet laughter fills our home and our hearts! I am incredibly blessed to have her as my sister, and thank the Lord everyday for her! I truly cannot imagine my life with out her and her silliness! I know that from the day she was born, she was meant for our family.
God is miraculous!!

Changes in the Wind

I recently graduated from High School. Go class of 2010. I can't say that my High School experience will be one that I will miss, although it is a little bittersweet realizing that, that chapter of my life has ended. High School was definitely a roller coaster ride, with many life changing experiences. I believe the one thing I will miss most out of my High School years is my Wednesday night Youth Group. I am incredibly blessed to have a Youth Group like this one and i will miss is terribly. God has blessed my church with a remarkable youth Pastor, and I know I would not be the person I am today with out the Lord suppling that ministry.

I am also so thankful for the loving support that my parents have always offered through these past years.
It will not be forgotten.♥

I am now about to start on a new adventure in my life. The scary thing is, I have no idea who or what I want to be. I'm starting my freshman year at a local Jr. College this fall with an undeclared major. Only God can know what my life will become. I'm doing my very best to trust in Him and not worry. He is my rock.

"For I know the plans I have for you." declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
